Subject:   Orders Effective 12/09/41

Primary Missions:

1. The Japanese attacks yesterday have forced us into the War.  Review the attached orders to the Fleet from COMSUBPAC.

2. Our location puts special emphasis on the use of torpedo's.  The supply in Manila is limited so proper use and minimal expenditure during an attack will be essential for the time being..

3. All of our boats are in Manila assigned to SubAsiactic and will be operating in the South China Sea.  All boats will depart when ready and remain on station until stores are depleted or further orders are received.

4. Since there will be other US Submarines in the area be extremely cautious when engaging other Submarines..
