"Tony" Tully on the subject
of the Kongo's final sortie .
This scenario places the USS Silversides, SS-236, outside the
entrance of Brunei Bay on 16 November, 1944. Positioned to provide
lifeguard duty for a U.S. air raid earlier in the day.
This evening two Japanese task forces will be leaving Brunei, in part
because of the U.S. air raid. One with damaged ships is heading for
Japan. The other is bound for Singapore.
