FLAGSHIP OF THE COMMANDER SUBRON EIGHT

Subject: Orders Effective 03/01/42
Primary Missions:

Review the attached orders to the
Fleet from COMSUBPAC.
-
The following boats will sail from
Fremantle back to Philippines SS-184 Skipjack, SS-192 Sailfish and SS194
Seadragon . Since providing supplies to the troops on Bataan and
Corregidor is vital you have been requested to volunteer for this mission.
Volunteers should report such to me before departing. Volunteer boats
will be loaded torpedo's in the tubes only. The space for reloads will
be filled with ammunition and supplies for delivery to Corregidor. Upon
arrival in the Philippines proceed directly into Manila Bay at night and
offload the supplies. Upon departing Manila Bay patrol in area P1
through P-4. Other boats will operate in zones P-5 through P-9 at
the Captains discretion.

SS-199 Tautog and SS-206 Grampus will depart Pearl Harbor
and head to the Northern Mariana's. Tautog in March and Grampus in April
and will operate with no friendly forces in the area.

SS-191 Sculpin has not been heard from since departing on
the last patrol and is presumed lost..
